VMS - Technical Specifications
Video decoding is a processor-intensive process, especially when viewing multiple high-definition streams. Your VMS system needs lots of processing power, memory, and a dedicated graphics card.
As of January 2024, the VMS is limited to 256 camera streams at a time.
Software requirements
Your system should run Windows 10 x64 or better.
Firewall
The default ports for Luma VMS are shown here. If your system uses different ports, you'll need to modify these values in the Luma VMS Server App.
Server | Port Type | Port |
Authentication Server | Internal Port | 6003 |
Configuration Server | Internal Port | 7002 |
Media Transfer Server | Internal Port | 6006 |
Auto Report Port | 2009 | |
Alarm Server | Internal Port | 6033 |
Intelligent Server | Internal Port | 6069 |
Hardware requirements
The monitor you use for the VMS must have a resolution of 1280×960 or better.
